The Recurring Dream Foundation (RDF) is dedicated to memory
of James William Esoldo. His untimely death prompted the founding
of the RDF to reflect his personal ambition and passion for
music, and create positive opportunities for those interested
in pursuing their musical dreams.
Jim was a man loved by many, for his exceptional character
attracted and left marks upon those who met him. Upon graduation
from Newburyport High School's Class of 1993 as a highly regarded
student, Jim proceeded to study Biochemistry at Binghamton
University. Upon graduation in 1998, he embarked on a career
in pharmaceuticals. Jim possessed a unique view of biological
processes which made for interesting conversation amongst
his peers and also fed his talents in the culinary arts. Complimenting
Jim's multi-faceted personality was a legendary sense of humor.
Jim also possessed an incredible and undying love for music
that lives on through the RDF. Proficient at both the guitar
and drums, he performed in numerous bands; in each project,
he proceeded with admirable energy and enthusiasm. He was
known to research and purchase the best gear available, at
any cost, and put it to good use. With music, musicians, and
musicianship often being his favorite topics of discussion,
Jim could delve into remarkable detail concerning his favorite
recordings and albums, often enlightening and intriguing those
who had the pleasure and privilege to converse (and sometimes
debate) with him on such matters.
A great void is left with the departure of our dear friend.
It is our responsibility, as his friends and family, to carry
on the devoted musical conviction that was his life, and spread
to others his love for music and the opportunity to create
and develop musically.
Thank you for visiting our website and taking the time to
understand a cause so dear to our hearts.
Sincerely,
Friends of Jim
